This is the first in a series of panels on Navigating the Mentoring Relationship by #BlackandBrilliant – an advocacy group for people of all backgrounds – united in creating a more diverse workforce.

We selected panelists for their unique expertise, perspective, and solutions on creating and navigating the mentor-mentee relationship because mentor-mentee relationships often lack rigor and success.

For this panel, we’ve selected two leaders from the US and UK to answer some of the key questions: What are the rules of the game for mentor and mentee relationships? How do you revive the energy of mentor-mentee relationships? How do you navigate mentor-mentee relationships when each is of different ethnicities and genders? How can we ensure mentoring succeed in online environments?

Panelists:
Herman Stewart (UK) is an international mentoring expert, TEDx Speaker, and host of the Finding Your Path podcast focused on mentoring and mentorship.
Dr. Alan Mandell (US) is the SUNY 2020 Distinguished Service Professor at SUNY Empire State College and co-editor of All About Mentoring (1993-present), a journal focused on effective mentoring theory and practice.
Moderator:

Dr. Rhianna C. Rogers, Associate Professor, SUNY Empire State College, Ernest Boyer Presidential Fellow, Rockefeller Institute of Government

Hope to see you all there.
